MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Giavanna had so much fun making cookies with Tomas and I. She loved cracking the eggs into the batter and decorating the cookies. It was fun listening to Christmas music and Tomas drank his traditional egg nog. We are so excited for Christmas! Merry Christmas to you all!!

Can you see Valentina in the background?? Poor thing, she's been fighting off a real bad cold, but is still in the Christmas spirit. We love her so much and can't wait for her first Christmas in a couple of days.

Gia is enjoying one of her cookies! Yum! I'm so excited to put out her first cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve and we can't forget the carrot for Rudolph! I remember when we used to do this growing up, how fun its going to be to be able to do this with Gia.

So Much to Be Thankful For!!

Valentina is stuffed! We had a wonderful dinner at my parents house. We have been so busy as usual the past couple of weeks, but are happy because the holidays are here and because we will be able to celebrate Valentina's first Christmas! Disneyland was a lot of fun. We all enjoyed the quick trip. We are so happy to be healthy right now and to be able to spend this special time with our family. We have a lot to be thankful for this year and especially because both Jennifer and Tierrah are expecting. We'll have two new little ones to add to the family very soon!

Here are some Disney pictures!!! We had such a great time. Both girls were well behaved the first day at the park. Valentina did well the second day too, but little Gia was just too beat to enjoy another day like the one she had the day before. We all went on a lot of rides. We didn't have to wait in lines very long and Tomas and I were even able to go on Space Mountain the second night with the "rider switch" option. Tomas also went on a roller coaster at California Adventures. We were even able to enjoy two "date nights" because around 9 pm both girls were asleep in the strollers and didn't awake to any noises. Good little girls, letting Tomas and I catch up! The first night we went to a nice restaurant and had a deserving drink! The second night we went to a pizzeria and had pizza and beer! Good Times!

Happy Halloween 2009!!

Happy Halloween everyone! Gia dressed as a cat this year and Valentina was a princess. Gia and Valentina were spoiled---we have such nice neighbors. During the day we had two surprise visits from neighbors. They were so nice and brought over some Halloween Treats for the girls. One of the Halloween treats was a big jack o'lantern filled to the brim with candy!! That really made Gia excited to go trick or treating in the evening. She had a lot of fun saying "trick or treat" and she really loved getting candy. I don't think she knows we can eat it (thank god). Besides two other school aged girls in the neighborhood, Gia and Valentina make up the third and fourth trick or treaters so it is nice that neighbors do this for us and they tell us it is a treat for them to see the girls.

We have to get in and out of the car to trick or treat! By the end of the hour and a half, Tomas and I were exhausted!!

This neighbor, pictured above, was so happy to see the girls. She gave Gia not only candy, but a special Halloween lantern to carry in the dark too (smart neighbor).

Long Time, No Post!!

Gosh, it has almost been two months again, since a post! I thought instead of researching H1N1 (like I have been doing for the past month), I would take the time to do something more fun and post some pictures. As of today, I am still not sure whether or not to vaccinate myself and the kids against H1N1. All of us got our flu shots last month so now I just need to get quiet and let my innerself tell me what to do about the H1N1 vaccination. Okay, enough about that I'll tell you some fun things about the kids!!

VALENTINA

Valentina has almost had two months of physical therapy and she is doing so well. She got her first tooth this last Saturday 10/10 and I saw her standing in her crib yesterday, 10/14, looking so proud. She is getting so big and yesterday we sat around her Fisher Price music table and she pulled herself up and was cruising around it. And can you believe it???? Valentina colored her first picture a month ago on 9/14 at only 8 months old....I couldn't believe it. Tomas was stunned too! We were so amazed and I just had to cut this picture of the elephant out of the coloring book and put it in her baby book for safekeeping.

Valentina is learning how to drink out of a sippy cup and she is doing a great job!


MISS GIA

Gia is such a busy girl these days. She went to two birthday parties last month and had so much fun. One of the birthday parties was a Construction theme party and Gia was able to decorate a hard hat with pretty pink crystals (of course) and she looked so funny wearing the yellow hat and her heels with her short shorts!! The other fun party was a Mickey Mouse party where we were able to see Mickey in person!! I swear every day after the Mickey party she has been asking, "Where's Mickey?" It really gets annoying sometimes! So, since we missed out on the trip to DisneyLand last year because I was pregnant with Valentina, we are planning on the fun holiday trip to DisneyLand this year and I bet on it that little Gia will be so happy and won't believe her eyes when we are at "Mickey's home!" The holidays will also be an exciting time because it will be Valentina's FIRST Thanksgiving and Christmas...how special...something to look forward to!

We bought Gia a new car seat (one that converts into a booster) because little sister Valentina was getting too big for the one she was using!!

HIGH HEELS!! Tomas said she just put these on all by herself and started walking. She even runs in them too (and pretty well, I might add!)

Gia is sporting her glasses...looking so cool. Tomas says she looks like "trouble". Ha Ha! I can laugh about it now.

Gia is going to be a kitten this Halloween. She is so excited to go trick or treating. Last year she got the hang of it, but this year she will have a blast I am sure of it. I can't wait to take her in our neighborhood again!

Little sis Valentina will probably fit into Gia's princess costume that Gia wore last year (Valentina wears 12 month clothing now!!). If not, she will be a pretty kitty too! I love my two little critters!
