It Snowed!!!

I predicted correctly! The day after Christmas it snowed at our house. We took a video on Tomas' camera so when we download it I will have to post it. We missed it when it had snowed earlier in the day, but I called my neighbor and she said it was a lot and that it stuck to the ground. She said she got some pretty good pictures. We saw the aftermath when we got home from the movies and were lucky enough to have another round of snow, but it was light and it hit our face like popcorn falling from the sky. Giavanna enjoyed it too, but it sure was cold (even with my bun in the oven) I could feel how cold it was and usually I am very warm. Hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Happy 2009!

Baking Cookies

A couple of nights ago we decorated some sugar cookies together (stars and snowmen). It was fun seeing Giavanna help out and Papa Tomas also had fun because he was drinking Egg Nog! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Christmas at Our House

We had Giavanna's Aunt Jenn and Uncle Charlie over for some hot cider and hot chocolate last week. It was nice because we also were able to light the fire since was cold outside.

Snow in Carefree!

I'll bet on it that it will snow for real in Carefree this year again! We always get that special treat, but for now the snowmaker was a lot of fun for Giavanna and Papa!

Santa, Gia and Mommy

Giavanna did not like Santa this year. She was afraid of him and cried and mommy had to get in the picture!! At least she liked him last year when she was only four months (maybe it was because we we didn't see Disneyland's Santa this year...we will have to make sure Papa Tomas takes us there next year!!)

Carefree Christmas Festival

On Friday night we went to the first annual Carefree Christmas Electric Light Parade with our friends, Erin and Alexis. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely attend next year too!

Hair Bows Galore!

Giavanna's new thing lately is to have all of her hair bows on her head all at once! At least this keeps her entertained!!

Playing the bongo drums at music class was one of her favorite things to do!

We have been so busy getting ready for the holidays!! Time is going by too quickly, not to mention Giavanna can sense something is going to change soon (little sister is on the way!). Giavanna ended her music class a couple of weeks ago, but we will think of something to do together in a couple of months once things get settled with our new arrival. We still attend story time at the library, but it also ends in a couple of weeks. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!!

First Trip to the Zoo

We met our mom's group at the zoo last week. It was Giavanna's first trip and she enjoyed seeing all of the monkeys and giraffes up close...what a treat!

How Giavanna Keeps Herself Entertained

Oh boy, Giavanna sure loves her Papa Tomas' bar. Lately, her new thing is to stack all of her blocks and her two favorite stuffed animals on the bar. She usually wants to sit on the foot ledge where she stacks her toys, but we tell her no and Papa reassures her that she will have plenty of time to sit at bars later!!

Trip Up North to Our New Cabin!!

Giavanna had fun on this slide. It was nice to be able to be in cooler temps. It was in the mid fifties and on our way home last night we had to drive thru a bad snow storm!!

14 Months!

Giavanna loves walking around the house! Now that she is upright it is a lot of fun, but I am still nervous when she falls on the stone floor...I'll have to get over that. She has been enjoying her music class and has lots of fun dancing and bouncing to the music. We have still been pretty busy and are glad that cooler temps are here...it puts us in the mood for Halloween!

It was hot out today, but Giavanna lounges in her chair watching her cousin Dominick's football game. She is getting so big!

I don't know if Giavanna is a leftie yet, I often catch her using her left hand for feedings, but she does use her right hand for throwing things. Here, she is using both hands, enjoying her chicken stew!
